Tradition Meets Passion
At the historic Waldhorn brewery in Plochingen, the Uwe Staiger family runs the restaurant with passion and craftsmanship. Our philosophy: authentic, regional cuisine made from the finest ingredients—sourced from local producers whose names we know.
From the hunter and the potato farmer to the trout farm and the mill in Hochdorf: We consciously support regional producers and are happy to pay fair prices for their products. You can taste the difference—in every Maultäschle and every other dish.
Genussbotschafter Baden-Württemberg
As a member business of the Meistervereinigung Gastronom e.V., we were awarded the title of official Genussbotschafter of the state of Baden-Württemberg in 2019.
Through Meister-Catering, the Meistervereinigung’s exclusive association, we have had the privilege of hosting many high-profile receptions both in Germany and abroad—from the German Embassies in London, Paris, Brussels, Moscow, Dubai, and Tokyo to numerous receptions at the New Palace in Stuttgart.
Many prominent guests, such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel and several state premiers—including Erwin Teufel, Günter Öttinger, and Winfried Kretschmann—have enjoyed our catering and, in the process, our Maultaschen.
